Almost, Maine

Synopsis: In the remote mythical town of Almost, Maine, people experience the life-altering power of the human heart. In a series of playful and surreal experiences, relationships end, begin, or change beyond recognition, as strangers become friends, friends become lovers, and lovers turn into strangers. Populated with characters who are humorous, plain-spoken, thoughtful, and sincere, Almost, Maine is a series of loosely connected tales about love, each with a compelling couple at its center, each with its own touch of magic.  Rated PG-13, not suitable for all audiences due to some adult language and content.

Content Warning: emotional/physical intimacy, heartbreak, minor stage-combat violence

Summer Special Project
Sisters of Charity Legacy Story Staged Reading

A staged reading of this project will take place between mid to late June, likely in a virtual format. Stay tuned to our social media for more details.

Through the generosity of The Sisters of Charity Sister Elise grant, Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Theatre Arts has commissioned local playwright and actor Maggie Lou Rader to write a play about the Sisters of Charity Legacy.

The legacy of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati can be seen in a variety of ways, including the 100+ year history of Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§. As Ó£ÌÒɬ¸£Àû¼§ Theatre Arts has grown over the past three years we want to celebrate the Sisters of Charity legacy by producing an original play. Not only will this play provide us the opportunity promote the stories of our foundresses, it will also allow us to feature our talented female identifying actors.

We want to give a big thank you to Maggie for taking on this project, and to the Sisters of Charity for your support!
